Michael was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable but added a good bit of humour. The organisation of the tour was great we met at the shop before and prepared our headsets. There was plenty of opportunity for a water break and a stop in the shade. Thanks Michael for a good tour!
We went right in the morning at 8, and got in line about 7:30 to ensure we'd be there before major crowds and the sun, and super glad we did! We spent about an hour and enjoyed looking at all the ruins.
We purchased tickets in advance online and arrived shortly before our scheduled entry time. We waited for a short time to be allowed to enter (maybe 10 minutes). It was somewhat crowded at 5 pm, but the crowds were easy to navigate with and through. It did not affect our enjoyment. The site is amazing to see in person! You can see te entire city. Of Athens and surrounding areas out to the sea. We visited in mid June and it gets SUPER hot so prehydrate and everyone take water. There are spots you can sit and take rest breaks in a bit of shade.
Just walking the whole historical site was amazing and admiring the age of it. Did not realize how high up it actually sat.
Easy service to use and get in with. Wish we would have prepared ourselves better with the audio. The experience even on a 90+ degree day was still epic. Make sure you take a water in with you.
Everything except the Sun and heat but we were aware of that and ready for it. Getting around was pretty easy and the temples are great, magnificent and the marble looks smazing in the sun.
The Parthenon and Museum combo ticket is a really good choice. It's very practical and we were able to access the sites without queuing. I'd recommend it The museum is really splendid and very well organized and gives an idea of the grandeur of the details that we can't see on the actual Parthenon. The two visits complement each other extremely well

We enjoyed the beauty of the history there! Being able to get tickets in the phone was great. The lady viewing our tickets was not very friendly & she held us while she let everyone in line behind us through. Then she helped us w/a simple resolve in our ticket view on the phone. But overall we would do it again given the opportunity!
As a history lover , I was able to immerse myself in what the Acropolis once was. I didn't get the audio guide , perhaps I should have however , there's information everywhere with pictures and fragments to give you the great historical experience . Views of the city also amazing !
Meravigliosa esperienza. Tutto perfetto consiglio scarpe comode cappello e protezione solare. Il sito è conservato benissimo Audio guida in italiano molto utile e dettagliata per la città vecchia ricca di monumenti, chiese e edifici storici
The Acropolis itself is spectacular, it is a millenary place and incredible! It would be very useful the audio guide to learn and understand where you are and what is what but it was good the tickets with no line and no problem to redeem them. The tourist bus is good for people who dedicate the time we had no problem using it but we did not have time so next time I do not buy it because I did not use it. To improve the location of the stops in piraeus and glyfada, we could never find them.

I booked my ticket late, so this was a great way to secure an 8am entry when the tickets had sold out on the official site. I was visiting alone and so the audio guide was a perfect way for me to wander as I wished and learn alot about the site, which I found alot easier to digest than the info boards. The audio guide was easy to navigate and the map useful to locate yourself, and full of great historical facts.
We only had one day to visit the Acropolis as we had a 24 hour layover. The tickets to the Acropolis and the museum was a good combination for us to spend the day. Sadly, my companion did not walk very well, and the elevator was not in working order for tourist. We did manage the steps slowly much to the ire of the various tour groups that visited at the same time as us. as for the museum, it was nice to see some of the pieces that were returned from the British Museum, I do hope someday that the Acropolis can be returned to a condition prior to the damage done by the various "visitors" of the 19th century.
Amazing experience. Very little information or support re queueing on arrival but once we had sussed it out all went well.
Good atmosphere, from the audience. It would be nice if there were a few more information boards. The kiosk wanted €7.50 for a pack of pringels which is extortionate. The general prices were very high, but this exceeded that.

The package is worth it, especially because it includes the entrance to the Acropolis and watching the sunset at the temple of Poseidon is beautiful. What I think is confusing is the beginning of the tour. We waited at the appointed place 15 minutes before our time and no one showed up. Then we went to exchange tickets and entered the Acropolis but we missed the first part of the tour.
The electron tickets were very easy to use. Great communication. The Acropolis was a great day out and getting round Athens on the open top bus made it easy to go everywhere. We went around the city and down the coast.
Crow de were very busy and slow at 9am, hear at that point was extremely hot. Doesn't seem to be any real procedure in place to deal with the crowds.
The pick-up points were clear, uncluttered and precise, so there was nothing to report on that score. The sites we visited were magnificent and well worth the detour - and the weather was just right too 😍. The only negative point was the temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion. We had the (less pleasant) surprise to discover, once there, that we had to add €20 from our own pocket to gain access to the site. This point should be mentioned more clearly in the advert! Having said that, our guide was adorable, which helped us get over the hump 😊. In conclusion: a great day out, definitely worth doing again! But the details regarding entrance fees really should be better specified, for example: "Tickets for the temple of Poseidon are not included." Thank you for a memorable experience.

At first it seemed a bit complicated, as I'm not used to downloading applications, my son does it for me. As he wasn't available, I followed your instructions step by step and everything went smoothly.

We arrived just before 8am and were a little disappointed that there was already a huge queue. However once the gates opened at 8, the pre-ordered QR codes were read really quickly and everybody got through the gates very efficiently. By the time we left there were a lot of people coming in, many from cruise ships so earlier was definitely better.
I love the whole area. But odeos, if I am correct with the name, monument was emotional. Suggestion: That would be nice if it is mention in the audios the application of the buildings. I mean for what people got to get here in each. For some like Odeos why he built a theater for her wife mounument. Kind regards Vahideh
The Acropolis was amazing as was all the ruins around Athens. I didn't use the audio guide as much as I had hoped but the parts I listened to were inforative.
We got our tickets to go in at 8am, which we felt was the best time as managed to get some good photos plus see the everything without loads of crowds and the heat level was Good.
The tour was great, our guide was informative and made the tour interesting. It went quick and the quite was great value. The one piece of advice is to make sure you buy the tour with entrance tickets, a lot of tours offer an option to not include the entrance tickets and people did get confused. So add the entrance tickets!

It was an amazing experience. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and very patient. The views are spectacular and the museum is beautiful. All in all well worth the money and a must do experience. Thank you me and my daughter had a fabulous day
The highlight of my visit was our fantastic guide Michaelis! He was captivating; highly professional and enthusiastic , sympathetic, knowledgeable and very entertaining. We have learned so much and could not get enough! A must for firsttimers on the Akropolis....
The venue is magnificent, a historical presentation with a visual backdrop of the acropolis. Thanks to advance ticket purchase, there's no waiting at the entrance. Great!

The Acropolis where the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Propylaea sits, are exquisite architecture of the Ancient Greek culture. The Acropolis Museum is an impressive modern architecture which complements the Acropolis and holds artifacts such as the Parthenon Frieze and the Caryatids.
Our guide was excellent! She covered the history, mythology and practical construction of the things we saw. I only wish it could have been longer. Very well done.
Fantastic and informative guide. Amazing site and so much history.

We enjoyed the whole experience. Chrysa and Thanos are gracious hosts who possess not only passion for the Bible but also are history enthusiasts. They are considerate and thoughtful. Couldn't ask for better. Jean and Johanne Ottawa, Canada
Our guide was charming - without her we wouldn't understand even a quarter of what our eyes see. The excavation area under the museum also adds a lot and really takes you back 2000 years to see and feel the period and what was there. The archaeological findings are simply amazing. Especially in a cluster of archaeological and historical sites like this, I really recommend others take a guided tour - it's simply a different experience that's much better than traveling alone without guidance.
There was a tap near the temple but it shoukd be clearly marked nonpotable water as it will make you sick. However, The water was a life saver to wet my haur and face and dress so i coujd stay cool!
Our guide Alexia made the experience enjoyable. While she couldn't eliminate the heat or the climb, she mitigated these challenges by stopping frequently and in shady areas. She was very knowledgeable about the Acropolis and excavating techniques because she is a trained archeologist. The audio equipment worked very well and I heard everything despite us being in crowded places. I would highly recommend.
Nice museum, but the direction of the visit wasn't clearly explained and we got a bit lost. Unpleasant staff Nice relic !!! Air-conditioned so pleasant

It was amazing after many years of wanting to visit it was everything and more the guide was very knowledgable and it would not have been the same without him
Our guide made this the best visit to the Acropolis that I have experienced. She was clear and extremely informative. She was careful to stop in the shade whenever possible.
This was not really the vendor or Headout at fault, but I wanted to give further instructions to others so that they do not miss their tour like we did. DO NOT USE APPLE MAPS to find the ADDRESS given for the meeting spot. It lead us to the wrong part of town. Instead, USE GPS to find ATHENS WALKS. This will take you to the meeting spot, which turned out to be near Acropolis and near our hotel. Good luck- better luck.
I have to say that the whole experience has been very good. I bought the tickets without having read reviews of this app. When I then started to read, almost all negative, I got very nervous and wanted to cancel, and obviously , you could not. Honestly I was quite scared at the door thinking it was a scam, but I have to say that, both the app and the ticket system, it was all super easy and works great.

Not very informative tour... just showing us what each monument is... no history or storytelling and guide wasn't great at answering questions
The acropolis itself was amazing. We personally found the museum underwhelming, lots of the same type of things making it all feel overwhelming. I also recommend rethinking the max capacity of the museum at any given time. It was difficult to navigate as there were so many crowds. It felt borderline overwhelming and unsafe if there we an emergency given the location of all the crowds.

Ermies was one of (if not the absolute) best tour guide we've ever had! He was beyond knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour (and then some). It was an extremely hot day, so he took care to make sure we had plenty of time to rest in the shade. He was also very considerate of the other tour groups around us. He made this experience 1000x better than we expected!
I was great getting a local Athen view of Acropolis with entry tickets. Wear good comfortable shoes because the footing is uneven and can be slippery. The Acropolis with the museum is a long day and by the time we got to the museum, our group only had stamina for an hour in the museum.
Great tour guide, Kosta. Awesome info, really felt his passion for the history and culture. I'd love more tours with him if I could! 100% recommend for anyone going. Would've been 10% of the experience without him.
Of course the beauty and history of the Acroplois is unmatched. But I also want to say that our guide, Marina, was super! She was friendly, patient, and so knowledgable. She is a great guide and so nice.
Selena was absolutely AMAZING!! She made everyone feel extremely comfortable, gave us lots of laughs, and she had a wealth of knowledge about the Acropolis. Answering our questions with a smile and even helping me type out the names of places I wanted to visit afterwards. If you're trying to decide whether or not to take a tour, definitely do it and for sure request Selena! I can't wait to come back and bring friends and family!
Everything ran very well. Skip the queue at the museum didn't really seem to work, but I think that is a museum issue (do they have a skip the line entry?)
An amazing tour. Our guide Vangelis (apologies if spelled incorrectly) was very passionate and has great knowledge about the history of the Acropolis. He let us all go at our own pace and gave time for taking photos. Going to the mueseum after seeing it in person was a good way to complete the tour. Take note to wear comfortable shoes with good grip as there is a lot of walking and the ground can be uneven. Go to the restroom when given the chance. Bring water with you. We'd highly recommend this tour :)
The tour was amazing! Our guide Michael was fantastic! He made the day entertaining, and fun! He was extremely knowledgeable! The ancient ruins were the most amazing thing I've ever seen! It may have been the best day of my life, and the passion of the tour guide made the learning experience all the more memorable! Thank you, Headout, for the easy booking, and life long memories!
Our guide, Wasia, forgive me if I misspell her first name. The story is shared with passion. I recommend the guided tour.

Our guide (Julia) was exceptional. Her depth of knowledge, paired with her incredible storytelling truly made our entire experience wonderful. The headsets were essential and we were grateful to have them. It was great to be able to skip the line as well! Our only regret was that we weren't able to hire Julia for the entire rest of our week in Athens- she is a treasure!
ALEXIA WAS AMAZING!! Such a sweetheart. You could tell that she was very educated about all things Greece. She made sure to let us take breaks to sit while still educating us on the tour. She was also helpful with photos. She even gave us recommendations for other places to visit. Def would do a tour with her again. Thank you Alexia!!!

Our guide John the Archeologist was fantastic. His passion and knowledge made our experience amazing.
interaction with the guide miss Maria from Key Tours, explanations of a historical, mystical, archaeological nature.
Edwin was an an excellent tour guide. We totally enjoyed our tour!
Victor, our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I felt the tour was just long enough
Our tour guide, Elizabeth, was really excellent, she bought the history of the Acropolis alive for us. Her knowledge and passion for the monuments fantastic. We started our tour at 8am, which was perfect, as it was getting hot and busy as we left. The visit was breathtaking and a highlight of our stay in Athens.
We had the best tour guide ever!!!! I highly recommend doing this tour it was very informational and she even found nice shaded places for us to sit and talk about each thing we saw. At the end we asked a few questions where we should eat for lunch and she typed a few places down for us. I wish I knew how to spell her name lol.
I appreciated learning about the history and significance of the monument as the guide took us through the museum. However, the tour was not well organized. 1) We were told to go to one location . The sign on the door of that location then told us to go to another location . Why not just give us the real meeting point from the start? 2) there was a confusion over the tour length. We were told 3.5 hours on the description. Others were told four hours. The guide was told four hours As a result we didn't have enough time at the top . And so some tour members felt frustrated that the most important part of the tour felt delayed.
Having a tour guide explain the history and mythology surrounding the Acropolis and its monuments really elevated this experience. Additionally, her explanations of several of the artifacts in the Acropolis museum were very interesting. Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit the dig site that was included in the ticket. Overall, though, a nice experience. A tip for first-time visitors: It is very hot with almost no shade, even starting at 9 am, so I would recommend that everyone wear a sun hat and appropriate sun protection.
Our guide was the loviest young lady. She was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for her. She loves what she does and it shines through. A big thank you to her 😊

It was even more impressive than we could have anticipated. Of course it was crowded, but not to the extern that you couldn't take pictures without herds of people in it. The uphill walk wasn't too bad, and the cleanliness of the surroundings stood out.
Visit to the Acropolis without any problems. Trip to Cape Sunio for the Temple of Poseidon very well organized, audio guide in Italian interesting and well detailed along the way. Staff efficient and knowledgeable. Perhaps the price of the ticket to see the Temple could be included in the package, it would be a useful element of clarity.

The Parthenon was crowded, as expected. The Cape Sounion trip was excellent: great quide with positive energy. Beautiful views from the Temple of Poseidon. Highly recommended!
The Acropolis site and surrounding areas are a must-see! You do still have to get in a line and join those who booked the same time as you, but the line goes very fast and they start letting folks in 15 minutes prior to your chosen time. The audio was nice to have as well as it added more context. We went to the Acropolis museum right after (different ticket) and that closed the experience superbly!
If it were not for what the ancient builders of the agora acropolis and the beautiful Greek statuary left behind, Athens would not be so much visited today ... chaotic and poorly maintained city

The climb was not that tough what I had thought. The audio guide was very helpful through which came to know the history of Parthenon and Acropolis
The highlight of my visit was how big and well preserved it is. If it is true that they let a lot of people pass and you do not enjoy it with the place deserves, it had to be more limited capacity.

I loved being on our own pacing , we listened and replayed the guide tour when necessary , we don't have to rush to keep up with everybody , we're very relaxed thus enjoying each moment .
Interesting tour. Slightly wrong gps point for the meeting point. It would be better to mention that this is the main entrance.

Rightly priced and a good tour of the city on hop on buses. The bus to the coast was hourly and the stops were not marked, waited long to get a bus ack to city after a visit to the coast. Acropolis visit was as expected, quite busy with a big crowd waiting to enter. Overall enjoyed the trip. As we brought the tickets online we did not get a headphone to hear the commentary on the bus which was less satisfactory.
The Parthenon was crowded, as expected. The Cape Sounion trip was excellent: great quide with positive energy. Beautiful views from the Temple of Poseidon. Highly recommended!
This experience is perfect for an evening visit to the Acropolis followed by a walk through the Plaka to downtown Athens for dinner! amazing!
We had the best time and our tour guide Penny was amazing. She took us to many different places and was so knowledgeable about the area and the different food and wine experiences. She was persobalble and really provided an A plus tour. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.
We bought tickets online and avoided waiting in line. We went in the morning so it wasn't too crowded. The experience is amazing, I would recommend it to anyone who loves history and architecture.

The possibilité to get an extra visit. We visited the temple of Poseidon at Sunion. Sightseeing tour included in this Megapass with the possibility to go to the beaches, a wonderful day also.
I got the Classic Pass since I was here just 1 day — super helpful! Covered the main spots and used the hop-on bus too. Great pick for a first Athens visit!
We had a bit of a mix up with some of the tickets but we reached out and got a quick reply with a solution to the problem. The attractions were amazing (crowded but what can you do during top season 🤷). I would highly recommend using this service if you are in Athens and want to see the best attraction without having to wait in line and hassle with all the individual tickets.
Beautiful. Only downside guide not downloadable. Just arrive on time by the hour and everything will work great. Immersed in history. Go after 5 p.m., on your way down to the city take advantage of a visit to the museum.

a visit to the Acropolis and the magnificent museum, and the plus: a ticket that cuts the crowds. 2 days on a great bus to discover the city of Athens with as many stops as possible.

We booked with the MagaPass which in itself was great value. The problem however with the MegaPass is that they have a relationship with the partners that the bookings seem to only be made when we show up and SHOW the email confirmation. The Big Bus company were great. We Showed them the Pass and all went Well. HeadOut - Could not provide the Audio Guide on their App, so the Museum tour was lacking the Audio. Finally - Sights Of Athens (sightsofathens.gr) When we showed them the booking for our Corinth Tour said - Sorry Bus is full No Space, can sort you out on another day but since this was our last day, nothing could be done ...
Beautiful museum with beautiful content and the concept of how the museum has been built alone is incredible. Finally, a beautiful terrasse with incredible view on the Acropolis to stop for a coffe or refreshment.
After making my selections, the tickets were sent to both my email and whatsapp right away, which was super helpful!
Disastrous service! The general QR code didn't work anywhere! For the Hop on Hop off we didn't receive a specific code, and the info in the app wasn't specific enough for people of the Athens Sights brand. We wasted a lot of time trying to prove which company. Luckily I found a photo, and they finally gave us a ticket for only 24 hours. So we only had a Hop On Hop Off day, whereas the info on the site said 2 days. For the Museum, it wasn't clear that there were 2 tickets for the outside and inside of the Acropolis, including the Museum. Support is unreachable by phone in case of emergency. The phone line in FR did not work. The Acropolis tickets mention opening from 9am to Xam, whereas we also had a specific slot. Really unclear. Too many e-mails without clear and specific information.

Enjoyed the walking tour through the Acropolis. However, the audio part of the tour wasn't that good. Had a hard time with the audio matching up where I was. It would stop and then I had to start over and find the area I was at that time. Keep doing this and so we turned the audio off. We thought the audio was a waste of money. It might work for others it didn't for us.

The ancient buildings on the hill aroused admiration, reflection (from the perspective of a few years of studying classical philology) and sadness (you know: history and time) at the same time. Very disappointed as the lift did not work. My friend who has a very bad back due to three disastrous operations. Was not able to use the lift with his wheelchair. However as he's leaving today he made th decision to walk up. I had to carry his chair which was not to hard but the place was absolutely packed with people. Groups of tourists getting off buses and crowding around areas blocking is from proceeding. I know that's it's a very popular place but they should limited people from going up all at once. Dangerous. However it was worth it as my friend has never been before. He's paying the price now but he's amazing. Didn't complain once. I've just read other reviews and apparently the lift for the disabled is quite often broken. Not good in my opinion. However the staff there are amazing and very helpful.

I was visiting alone and so the audio guide was a perfect way for me to wander as I wished and learn alot about the site, which I found alot easier to digest than the info boards. The audio guide was easy to navigate and the map useful to locate yourself, and full of great historical facts.

The ancient buildings on the hill aroused admiration, reflection (from the perspective of a few years of studying classical philology) and sadness (you know: history and time) at the same time. Plus, of course, the magnificent views and the information from the audio guide, as much as it was needed. Note: an essential complement to a visit to the Acropolis is a walk around the hill.

Very good guide, with an excellent knowledge of the monuments and excellent english. I would suggest to the agency to create a "beta" version of the tour, giving less details on each monument and probably of a slightly less duration. Some people do not want to get so deap in the the history

Even in early October it can be very warm in the afternoon (27 to 30 degrees) so I would say choose a morning visit starting around 8.30am Wear good footwear with good tread as the marble and stone steps and walkways can get a little slippery Be patient (not my strongpoint!!) but it's going to be busy and some people will need a little bit longer to navigate the steps .,. but you'll get up there and it's well worth those extra few minutes

Definitely book a guided tour, as well as the tour of the Acropolis Museum. Georgina was the most perfect guide, so kind and funny and intelligent, and we spent a few magical hours under her tutelage through the Parthenon/Acropolis and the Museum. We waited a short while at yhe meeting point for our group to assemble. There was no queue or waiting time to enter the Acropolis entry gate. However, once inside the masses of people made it difficult to move around. There was plenty of shouting from Acropolis officials telling people to "move along" which meant it was impossible to savour and appreciate the magnificence of it all. A guided tour helps you learn much more about history without having to stay on the phone searching on the internet to find out what you are looking at but listening to the words of an expert. I must absolutely emphasize that on Saturday 28 September at 08:30, our group of 4 people consisting of a Greek, an Italian and two Finnish people, thanked our guide infinitely, a girl named Alexia, a sunny and fantastic person, with a clean, perfect and understandable English. She explained many interesting things about the Acropolis of Athens and always with a smile on her lips. She was always waiting and checking on our group that everyone was present. I would say she deserves a 10+ in her work, a highly professional person.

Looking for a small group guided tour in English that included the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. She provided lots of details and happily answered questions. Her pace was good and she looked out for the group as a whole. Even though it is clearly stated on the website, this tour is not for folks who need a cane to walk or have knee or hip problems. There is a good bit of uphill walking as well as steep stairs. The surfaces are uneven and slippery in places. To ascend the Acropolis in the heat with crowds of people is not for the faint of heart.

If you are up for walking, your visit of the Acropolis can easily be combined with a visit of the Roman and the Ancient Agorá. Since the Roman Agorá is perfectly visible as you come down the stairs from the Klepsydra and then keeping more or less to the left, you don´t need necessarily to buy a ticket and go inside. In my opinion the Ancient Agora futher that way to the left in direction of the Thiseio quarter is absolutely worth a visit, particularly the beautiul Hephaistos temple, the best preserved one in all Greece. If you are still up to a hike all around the Acropolis hill through the surounding hills by leaving the Ancient Agorá, turn left on Adrianou, then left again at the Metro Station Thiseio on Ag. Asomaton, following Apostolou Paviou. Here you find overpriced but very nice locations for a drink or coffee with an awsome view on the Acropolis. Turn right into Agias Marinas, have a look into that beautiful Orthodox church and then take the small way behind leading up into the hills where you´ll find various paths and sights and from everywhere stunning views on the Acropiolis and to the other side down to the sea to Piraeus.

Comming out the way past the Acropolis ticket booth and canteen, follow the street named Theorias past the Paul and Alexandra Canellopoulos Museum on the left and a tiny charming Greek orthodox chapel on the right and turn left downstairs right after passing the chapel. Here you find one of my favourite places in Athen: the Klepsydra. Perfect for a breakfast after your visit of the Acropolis and also to return for lunch or dinner. Wonderful salads, delicious gyros, rich Greek yoghurt, strong Greek coffee, etc. in a truly romantic atmosphere.

Our trip to Athens was absolutely wonderful. The only reason I have not given it top marks was because of the disjointed organisation for the disabled. The distance between the taxi ranks and the buggies to the lift was to far for anyone with problems walking to achieve and even if one had access to a wheel chair it is up a steep incline on beautiful slippery marble. Disabled access to the wonderful National Archaeological Museum was again difficult between taxi and door. I have to, msay that everybody with whom we came in contact was kind and helpful.

Great experience to see this ancient wonder, we opted to visit the Akropolis first thing in the morning at 8am which was perfect as the crowds were still small the weather was nice but cool and after we finished exploring it was only 10am so plenty of time to do other things during the day, highly recommend and of course you can't be in Athens and don't visit Akropolis so you really don't have a choice but to do it! We travelled from Piraeus cruise terminal and took the Metro from Piraeus to Athens. The Acropolis metro station was very close to the entrance to the Acropolis which was very handy. The Metro service was great. We only had a relatively short queue to get into the Acropolis at 1pm. The experience and views of the remains of the ancient buildings was great. The only downside was having to avoid large groups who tended to go at a snails pace and slow up our progress.

The art and remains are extremely overwhelming looking at them in real life. Apart from the crowd which shows how popular this is, i thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We arrived exactly on time and used the side entrance- we didn't have to wait at all. The crowds toward the top are unavoidable but not as bad as I anticipated. The weather was still very hot even though we went in October- follow the recommendations of bringing water and wearing stable rubber soled shoes. I would recommend visiting museum first if you can, even though they say to go early in the day. We went at 10am but I wish I did the museum first to learn more before making the climb.

We went at 5 pm. There was a performance in the stadium which was amazing. The crowd control was perfection. We went to the museum which you should not miss. Be sure to have a drink on the outside space on floor 2. Wonderful view of the Acropolis especially at night.

What an absolutely fabulous place to visit - just awesome! It is somewhere I have wanted to visit since being a teenager for both the history and location, but nothing can actually compare to how stunningly beautiful this special place is. I can't wait to go back and see it again. We had a 5 pm slot and although it was incredibly busy, particularly around the steps up to the Parthenon, it never felt too busy. The site is vast and more than enough space for everyone. The ampitheatre had an orchestra practising, which was just an added bonus.

It was my second time visiting and it is so much better controlled now with crowd size. You pay and select hour and date of arrival. It is being maintained well, with workers patrolling so no one disrespects the monuments and others in the process of keeping it beautiful for future generations to appreciate the magnificence of it all. A must see!
