This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour! Our guide George was friendly, punctual and well organised. Communication was excellent right throughout and we were made to feel welcome and relaxed with clear instructions, meeting times and locations given. The group was roughly 40, including children and people requiring mobility assistance. The bus trip was comfortable and informative and about 2.5hrs each way. The site itself is stunning, signed well and the VR element with music was super immersive. The suggested lunch location was tasty ranging €10-20pp.
It was really easy to book and to find the pick up point. We even had to change the date due to our travel plans and that was very easy to do. Michaela, our guide was very informative. Delphi, itself was stunning and I am so glad we went to experience the site. We had a stop in Delphi for lunch and a photo stop in Arachiva. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day.
Funny tour guide Well organized trip Enough time to spend on site
All good. Michael especially was very nice tour guide. We couldn't avail student discount for my daughter so please get in touch as there is nothing on your website even though there is one for students!
This was a fantastic day trip to the archeological site and museum. First and foremost, never felt rushed at the site. We had plenty of time to walk around and take in the ruins. The bus ride was comfortable, and major props to the bus driver for getting us around the tight turns, especially in Arachovo. Thanos was our guide, and he was very nice and infromative. I only wish he would snap his fingers every so often (that's an Avengers joke for you). After the site, we had a lovely time at a restaurant to take in drinks with a view. And the VR stuff? It was cool at first, but slowly we got tired of looking at the screens and felt better off just reading the plaques.
Every moment was a joy. For the rest of my life I will have these memories. It was an amazing excursion with a great tour guide, fantastic views and high energy spots within the archeological site.
Our guide Michaela was very friendly and attentive. She was smiling and gave interesting explanations, speaking in English slowly enough so that we didn't get too lost. She always made sure she had everyone on the bus when it left, so it was impossible for the bus to leave without us. On the other hand, the time spent at the site and museum was too short. Just over 2 hours! It wasn't enough for us to take full advantage of the archaeological site and museum as we would have liked, given the size and importance of the place. We would have preferred more time on site, even if it meant less at the other stops. And we didn't know when the meal time would take place. It was a bit vague, and we'd have preferred to have a precise schedule for the day from the outset.

The price with the ticket included was very competitive. I would, however, suggest an earlier departure from Delphi as we only had time to see the ruins. An extra 30 - 45 minutes would also have permitted us to see the museum, so at least 3 hours at the site instead of 2 hours.
The organization in general and the assistance of tour leader michaela who was efficient, attentive, precise, kind and helpful.

The visit to Delphi is impressive, and all the more so with the explanations we had got in the bus during the trip to Delpi, with an excellent, cultured and entertaining guide.
The bus broke down on the way back. On the outward journey it took longer to get the tickets from the guide, who had to queue at the ticket office rather than buy them directly. The guide didn't explain how to use the phone, mainly because the virtual reality had to be synchronized with the real view.

The tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable! We had a great time!
A must-see for history buffs. The virtual tour is not yet fully developed.

We had a stunning tour of Delphi, the Delphi museum and beautiful Arahova. Our tour guide, George, was excellent, humourous and kind. The whole day was smooth and my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend! Thank you :)
We really enjoyed our guide, Stevie. The trip was every penny worth as she gave us a lot of information, not just about Delphi, but also about Athens, thr food and the people of Greece and a few laughs too. Delphi is a must see and the lunch with quick stroll in Arachova was an added bonus. Would highly recommend this tour.
It was a little rush walking and getting the tour of the museum ... too many people and not enough time to see the artifacts or take photos. Not a lot of explaination in Delphi, more like a repeat one Treasury after another. Lack of context regarding the significance of Delphi and the Oracle. She kept mentioning the Oracle was very wealthy.
Anastasia, our tour guide, made this experience awesome! She kept us entertained in the bus with greek mythology and interesting stories for Gods of Olympous. Once at Depli, she shared her valuable knowledge about the historical place and talked to us about the different artifacts at the museum. She also made suggestions on what to eat at Arachova as well as places to visit in Athens and Greek islands.
The actual site was beautiful. The drive was longer than expected. Our guide wasn't the most engaging on the bus but better on site. The museum was overcrowded when we went.
Our tour guide was very knowledable and accomodating and made the day very special for us. We had a wonderful day to this beautiful location and would highly recommend it.
A trip like this is successful if you have a strong itinerary and an even stronger guide; Tag Athens delivered on both.
Very well organised and very informative trip. The guide even rembered all the names of ours
Our guide was amazing- so knowledgeable and friendly and spoke excellent English

How to get to Delphi:
Weekdays vs weekends: To explore Delphi without the crowds, avoid weekends and visit on weekdays in the morning.
Best time of the year: It’s best to visit Delphi during the off-peak season in April, May, September, and October (spring and autumn). These months see fewer crowds and better weather than the peak season, which falls during the hot Greek summer.
Delphi Archaeological Museum
Delphi archaeological site
Restrooms: Visitor restrooms are available at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, but there are no restrooms at the archaeological site.
Photography: You’re allowed to take pictures and videos of the ruins at the archaeological site and the exhibits in the museum. However, you’ll need to get permission in advance for commercial photography or videography.
Audio guides: Most Delphi tickets include audio guides in English. Depending on the ticket you choose, audio guides in other languages, such as French, German, Spanish, and Italian, are also available.
Taverna Vakhos: Enjoy authentic traditional Greek food with magnificent views of the Gulf of Corinth from its windows. Order local favorites like Greek salad, stuffed cabbage leaves, peppers stuffed with feta cheese, lamb chops, baklava, and bread and olive tapenade, at Taverna Vakhos.
Taverna DION: A highly recommended dining spot, Taverna DION specializes in Greek dishes like spanakopita, moussaka, souvlaki, bifteki gemisto, and pork steak. Apart from its attentive service and friendly staff, this vibrant restaurant is also known for its fantastic local cheeses.
To Patriko Mas: If you fancy delicious food accompanied by great local wines, head to To Patriko Mas, a Greek Mediterranean restaurant located at the end of Delphi’s main street. Try the fresh bread with tzatziki, traditional spinach pie, slow-cooked venison and noodles, and country lamb, as you enjoy fantastic views of the valley.
Most restaurants in Delphi offer plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on their menus as well.
In Delphi:
In Arachova:
Located in Delphi town, the European Cultural Centre of Delphi organizes programs like theater, music, dance, and visual arts performances, as well as holding art exhibitions. It is also home to a sculpture park with works by leading Greek artists like George Zongolopoulos, Lydia Venieri, Costas Varotsos, and Vlassis Caniaris.
A quaint mountain village just 12 km from Delphi, Arachova is a popular ski resort and winter destination. Apart from its stunning mountain landscapes, it has many historical monuments like the famous Clock Tower and medieval churches, and a thriving nightlife.
Hosios Loukas is a 10th-century Byzantine walled monastery located near the scenic town of Distomo, about 25 km from Delphi. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it is famous for its art and architecture, including its domed church, frescoes, and golden mosaics depicting scenes from the life of Christ.
Your Delphi tickets include access to both the museum as well as the archaeological site. You don’t have to purchase them separately.
You can explore the Delphi ruins and the archaeological museum in one day. However, if you plan to explore the other towns in the region, like Arachova or Galaxidi, you can stay in Delphi overnight.
Delphi is accessible from Athens by bus and car. Driving down or taking a taxi is the most convenient way since you can visit on your own schedule. If you cannot drive or don’t want the hassle of dealing with transportation, you can book a full-day guided tour of Delphi from Athens, which includes round-trip transfers.
If you’re visiting during the spring, summer, or autumn seasons, wear comfortable, breathable clothing and sturdy shoes. Carry a light jacket, as the weather can get chilly. During the low-season winter months, wrap up well in warm clothing and carry an umbrella or a rain jacket as the region sees rain and snow during this time of the year.
The Delphi Archaeological Museum is entirely accessible by wheelchair, including elevator access. The Delphi ruins, however, are located on the side of a mountain, with steep climbing paths and stone steps to access them. Wheelchairs are not suited to navigate this rugged terrain.
You can use the visitor restrooms at the Delphi Archaeological Museum. There are no restrooms at the archaeological site.
There are no luggage storage facilities at the Delphi site or the museum. It’s best not to carry big bags or suitcases when you visit Delphi.
Except for guide dogs and service dogs, no animals are allowed at the Delphi site or the museum.
