Sainte-Chapelle
So first of all, I'd like to thank headout for this ticket. To visit the holy chapel, it was sold out everywhere but this site managed to find me two tickets. So happy to have gone with my family to visit this sublime place. I would never have thought of booking. Thanks again! You saved my scheduled trip.

Beautiful architecture and stain glass windows.
Such a beautiful building. Windows are stunning. Ticketing staff amazing. I had a problem downloading my ticket . Staff charming and helpful in spite of their being very busy
The attraction was stunning! Sainte-Chapelle is a beautiful cathedral! Although we arrive super late for our appointed time due to traffic, we were welcomed with open arms!
The actual venue was awesome. However, the queuing experience wasn't ideal. There was confusion as to which queue (both ticket holders and non-ticket holders appeared mingled together..There were limited / no personnel at the queues to organise people. Once the queues separated things moved more smoothly.
SAVED US!! We really wanted to see Saint Chapelle and THANK GOD for headout because we got last minute tickets that let us in. Thank you!!!
Even though we had booked a specific time we waited in a hugely over crowded line of visitors to enter for over an hour. The tour of the Chapel actually only took 15 mins. We had already visited the conciergerie the day before but could not view the Chapelle on the same day.
The chapel is beautiful. We really enjoyed our visit!
Very complimentary. The guide made a great effort to give us good information.

Fifteen towering panels illustrate over 1,000 biblical scenes, from Genesis to the Apocalypse. The sheer height and expanse of the windows allow light to flood the chapel, creating a kaleidoscope of colors.
Style: Gothic
Architect: Pierre de Montreuil (as mentioned in some texts)
Built: 1248
Sainte-Chapelle, commissioned by King Louis IX in the 13th century, is a prime example of the Rayonnant Gothic style, characterized by its focus on height, elegance, and an intricate interplay of light.
The entrance, located on the western side, features elaborate sculptural decorations, including the lily flower, symbolizing the Virgin Mary, and icons of the Crown of Thorns, reflecting the chapel’s original function as a reliquary for sacred relics
The 108-foot spire — the fifth to rise above the chapel since its construction — was crafted by a Parisian carpenter named Bellu in the 19th century. Using cedar wood, he seamlessly blended Gothic design with delicate proportions creating intricate carvings.
Inside, the emphasis on height and light is key to the Gothic style’s symbolic intention: to draw the eyes upward, lifting the visitor’s thoughts toward the heavens. The combination of soaring ceilings, pointed arches, and vast stained glass windows work together to create a sense of ethereal beauty and divine presence.
A Gothic masterpieceOriginally built for the palace staff, this chapel features elegant ribbed vaults, painted columns, and a statue of Saint Louis. It serves as the structure's foundation and showcases intricate gold and blue medieval decorations.
The highlight of Sainte-Chapelle, this chapel was reserved for the royal family and houses 15 towering stained glass windows depicting over 1,000 biblical scenes. Bathed in vibrant light, it is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of Gothic architecture.
Sainte-Chapelle, known for its breathtaking stained glass windows, prominently features strong female figures from both biblical and historical narratives. These women, depicted in the chapel’s artwork, symbolize faith, wisdom, and heroism.
As the mother and regent of Louis IX, she played a key role in shaping his reign and religious devotion. Her influence ensured the construction of Sainte-Chapelle, commissioned by Louis IX to house the Holy Relics, including Christ’s Crown of Thorns.
A Jewish queen of Persia, Esther is celebrated for her bravery and wisdom, as she risked her life to save her people from persecution. Her story, depicted in Sainte-Chapelle’s stained glass, reflects themes of courage and divine intervention.
A warrior heroine of the Old Testament, Judith beheaded the Assyrian general Holofernes, delivering her people from oppression. Her presence in the stained glass serves as a symbol of strength, determination, and God's justice.
Central to Christian iconography, Mary is frequently represented in Sainte-Chapelle’s windows, emphasizing her role as the Mother of Christ and intercessor for humanity. She symbolizes purity, compassion, and divine grace, reinforcing the chapel’s religious significance.
