We took part as a family of four with two sons aged 11 and 13 - our guide Jonas managed to familiarize us all with the difficult topic with his empathetic manner and enormous knowledge. Our guide, Max, was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great way to explore the city and learn more about the Franks. The group was an ideal size and there were lots of opportunities to ask questions.
Our guide Gauthier was extraordinary on the tour, sharing with us some very moving places. On the other hand, the address of the meeting point was not very clear for many people, as we went to Anne Frank's house and not to the synagogue.

Martina S was very knowledgeable and informative on our tour and gave a great perspective on the period along with the Anne Frank story. We timed the tour with our visit to the Anne Frank Museum.
* I had to click on items that don't apply to our situation because the review would not submit without these boxes checked. Disregard the checks. We as a group thought the tour would be lead by someone telling us only facts about world war 2 and Anne Frank's house. There were 10 of us in our group and none of us were pleased with his tour. We all love history and several in our group are WW2 history fans. A couple of us had relatives that died freeing European countries from the nazis. I, in particular, am the granddaughter of an American soldier that gave his life to free the European people from nazi control. Our tour guide is an activist by his own admission. Seems to be an activist against any party that he doesn't agree with. He told our group that the nazi party are now in charge of Germany and one other country. We all know that what the Germans did to Jews was terrible and should never happen again. Our tour guide told us several times that "nazis are bad "duh! We are well aware. Implying several times that we have to keep the nazis from taking over again. Seemed very political, which made us uncomfortable. There we good parts to the tour that were informative and that we learned a few new things too. Especially about the gold name plates at some of the door fronts. We really wished the whole tour stuck to history and not a college kids opinion.
Valeria was an excellent guide for the Anne Frank Walking tour. She gave a full and interesting history of the Frank family. She reviewed the Jewish history in Amsterdam and the effects the community had on the wealth of the City after fleeing Spain. We had a great overview of the events around und Anne Franks hiding and the genesis of her journal. Through getting to know the characters, the horror of the Holocaust could be appreciated
Good evening Our guide took our group on the informative tour in a welcoming, highly competent and emphatic manner! He was always eager to give us more information, even in a shady spot! information! The story of the fate of the Jews in Holland affected me deeply, not least because it took place right there! Thank you very much, I can only recommend this valuable tour to everyone!

We had a great experience on the Anne Frank / WWII walking tour, and much of that was thanks to our guide, Iris. She was extremely knowledgeable, providing deep insight and historical context in a way that was both engaging and respectful. Iris spoke eloquently and clearly throughout the tour, making it easy to follow along and absorb the wealth of information she shared. She was also very approachable and open to questions, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the group. I would highly recommend this tour—especially with Iris as your guide.
Awesome Information all along the walking tour.. Its a must when you want to learn about the history associate with this iconic place in Amsterdam.
Barbara our guide, was excellent. Lovely personality and she presented the story beautifully. Her knowledge of the Frank family and WW2 kept us interested throughout the tour, which finished nicely at the Anne Frank House in Prinsengracht. Would love to go on other trips with Barbar leading.
The group guide was Manuel, who easily surpassed any tour guide I have ever witnessed. His knowledge , energy and communication skills were exceptional and we can't thank him enough for sharing bucketfuls of his knowledge about the Immigrant Jewish community and their integration with the Dutch community in Amsterdam from the early 20th century up to and through the Nazi occupation through to liberation day on 04 May 1945 and the subsequent history of the survivors of the Frank family. Manuel fielded dozens of questions with passion and detail which was delivered with positiivity and good humour where appropriate. His investment in building the presentation and guided tour has been immense and we can't thank him enough for educating us so much more in a short 120 minutes . His tour has a huge and lasting in impact and we would recommend his professionalism and welcoming style every time ! Please ensure that he is aware of this feedback from the 1030 am tour on Monday 28 April 2025. Bill and Sarah . UK

Virginie our guide took the time to give us lots of explanations, but this is only possible if there's no need to run all the way to the Anne Frank House. So it's best to stagger your visits between the Anne Frank House and this guided tour. We were able to discover the place where the names of all the dead Jews are individually inscribed on the bricks.

I did not, not like the experience, honestly I think it was quite alright. I just thought it would be a bit deeper. The guide was very nice and frinedly and gave interesting input, but it was very general and the sidefacts have been fun but just not a lot.. not to be rude at all.
Our guide Xavier was brilliant. He's thoughtful and gives so much of himself and his time to bring us a unique story about Anne Franck's life. Thank you very much Xavier 😍

Anne Frank walking tour An enthusiastic knowledgable guide was all that was required to make this a fantastic tour. I would certainly use this tour company again, the whole process from start to finish was simple and straightforward.
GUI was an amazing tour guide. Went into detail about not only those that were part of the history of the Anne Frank story, which would have already been amazing because he did such a good job, but he also added cultural context to the sites we were seeing and the history of the Nederlands and how it all comes together. If you could book Gui I would highly recommend it.
The walking tour was amazing. Learnt so much about Anne Frank and her Life. Madeline our tour guide is awesome, it felt as she actually took us back in History with her narrations and the events that happened at the locations on the tour. Very memorable experience.

Was a good boat tour for the cheap price. Wasn't an hour, was closer to 40 mins. Saw a decent amount of things. I am not sure we ever passed the Anne Frank house as advertised, and if we did the audio guide did not point it out like it did the other attractions.

We loved the Zaanse Schans area and everything included in our tour. Our guide was welcoming, very well informed and patient. The bus ride was comfortable and easy to access. The difficulty for us was the sheer number of people (herding cats) and the duplicity of two languages. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that more than the language you signed up for was going to be included. This fact only allows the guest half-time with their guide. When you factor this in, unfortunately, it goes from great to only good.
The tour was very good and Evelyne guided us well in French. Voledam and the cheese museum are great! The mill site is very busy and touristy.

I was amazed by the knowledge and explanations of the guide Natalia....She made the entire experience come alive in a memorizing manner. Superb. We want to go back!
The guide through the museum was a student who led us through the enormous crowds of visitors with vision and great expertise. She showed and explained important works to us in a good, competent and professional manner.

I really liked not having to deal with the ticketing, our guide handled all of that with the museum. Our guide, Kawiheh, was really great, and his English commentary was exceptional. He explained things about the paintings that I would never have noticed or appreciated. While we did not see every single thing in the museum, I feel like I got an excellent summary in the 2 hours of the tour. Everything was well organized and efficient. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
The guide was knowledgable, entertaining and a good story teller. He would inform us facts and then ask us later when it became relevant. A very enjoyable experience.
Yes but short because we had to leave early to get our transfer to our river cruise ship. We will need to come back to see everything.
Great tour; excellent guide (Marlene).
I had to cancel when our River Cruise had to change because of the low water on the Rhine. I called as soon as I found out we couldn't make our ticket time and was told I was too late to cancel. Not much was offered. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
Our guide was incredible and taught us so much about Dutch art and cults in a playful way, it was a wonderful tour (now I've unfortunately forgotten the name :-(). Highly recommended!!!

It was a wonderful experience. The guide was smart with a lot of knowledge and patience. We enjoyed it very much.
Love this museum! Our guide was knowledgeable and did an excellent job. The audio glitches were unfortunate but not his fault. It was borderline infuriating that we missed 20 minutes of our tour because we had to wait so long for the elevator...and we missed several attempts because when a group including a stroller or carriage came out, the door closed so quickly we weren't able to get in with our wheelchair. In typical Dutch fashion, far too many obviously able-bodied folks got in quickly and the door closed.
The guide's knowledge on the arts was impressive. Enjoyed every minute of it. If you have an arts background I would highly recommend Martina's as a guide.
Our guide chose one particualr period to focus on, which was an excellent approach, in my view, as this included Rembrandt and Vermeer and their contemporaries. Our guide was entusisastic and highly knowedgeable and offered insights which were really interesting and relevant. The two hours passed very quickly and despite the numbers looking at the more famous paintings, we were able to enjoy these masters. It really was a memorable visit and one my son and I are unlikely to forget.
The guided tour through the museum with Martina was very informative. We learned many interesting facts about the artists and the creation of the art objects

The only (and relevant) problem is that I couldn't see the field, since it was prepared for a show. It would be fair if I had been informed before.
I was surprised my tour was not a self guided tour. But it went fine.Had more time to experience and take some photos. Disappointed towards the end at the fan store.I brought an Ajax vintage jersey that was sold at the store to get it printed.I was turned away by the staff saying I can only get the jersey printed if I bought it at the store.I think yhat left a bitter taste to my tour.I came from afar from all the way from Singapore.I was willing to pay for the prints. But well it wasnt to be

However, concerning the information, we did not understand that the entrance to Anne Franck's house was not included. My couple and I really loved this walking tour, Stefanie was very kind and charming during all the tour, and made our experience outstanding by exceeding our expectations. We are from Panama and we could only imagine and understand certain things, but walking trough the city with the knowledge and storytelling skills from Stefanie, we could really jump into the history and learn much more about it with significant histories, references to the book and nice pictures from places to have an idea on what happened. We really like it and understood perfectly.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and best on this trip .
Stephanie our guide- she was extremely knowledgable and gave us a great tour.
The tour guide David was very clever and very inspired/ing, really focused on the participants, we had a significative and important explanation about Amsterdam, the Jewish quartier and the diary of Anna. I was lucky to arrive running just in time at the meeting point ):
We were very happy with the tour and Julia as our guide. She was a very good storyteller and the way she brought the diary in the story was very good. There were many details, that amazed us, and made us think of the many troubles that the jews faced.
David, our guide, was very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Anne Frank and the Jewish quarter. It was a joy to hear about the history. I was running a few minutes late so I really appreciate the fact that David called me to say all was good and explained where to find them.
