- The tour is not accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility impairments.
- Baby strollers, large bags, luggage and pets are not allowed.
- Due to Greek Orthodox Good Friday observances, archaeological sites will have adjusted opening hours. Specifically, on Good Friday (3rd May 2024), sites will be open from noon until 6:00 pm. Orthodox Holy Saturday (4th May 2024) hours will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- Please note: On days when entrance to the Acropolis is free, the entrance ticket cost is already deducted from the tour price. These free admission days include:
- March 6th (in honor of Melina Mercouri)
- April 18th (International Day for Monuments)
- May 18th (International Museum Day)
- The last weekend of September (European Heritage Days)
- October 28th
- The first Sunday of each month, from November 1st to March 31st annually---

Our guide was charming - without her we wouldn't understand even a quarter of what our eyes see. The excavation area under the museum also adds a lot and really takes you back 2000 years to see and feel the period and what was there. The archaeological findings are simply amazing. Especially in a cluster of archaeological and historical sites like this, I really recommend others take a guided tour - it's simply a different experience that's much better than traveling alone without guidance.

Our guide Alexia made the experience enjoyable. While she couldn't eliminate the heat or the climb, she mitigated these challenges by stopping frequently and in shady areas. She was very knowledgeable about the Acropolis and excavating techniques because she is a trained archeologist. The audio equipment worked very well and I heard everything despite us being in crowded places. I would highly recommend.

This was not really the vendor or Headout at fault, but I wanted to give further instructions to others so that they do not miss their tour like we did. DO NOT USE APPLE MAPS to find the ADDRESS given for the meeting spot. It lead us to the wrong part of town. Instead, USE GPS to find ATHENS WALKS. This will take you to the meeting spot, which turned out to be near Acropolis and near our hotel. Good luck- better luck.

The tour was amazing. Our guide, John the archaeologist was fabulous. He gave the right amount of detail and was so knowledgeable about the artifacts in the museum as well as the acropolis. He kept us moving, but made sure that we had time to see every important aspect. We could have never seen so much or grasp all the history and facts on our own. Ask for John, and you will for sure have a great tour. We sure did.

Our guide was excellent. To tour the Acropolis museum and the Parthenon without a competent guide would be impossible to accomplish in 3.5 hours - if one hopes to really understand the chronological history. While it is physically challenging, it was extremely educational and fulfilling.

Keep the group together and do not start telling the story of an object before the whole group is in front of it. It is a lot of visitors and crowded so it is difficult for everyone to be close to the guide all the time.

There is no point trying to desribe the sheer glory of the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum (which is fantastic!) in mere words. Understanding this period of ancient Greece through sculpture and town planning is essential for understanding Europe, even today.

Tour ok but guide difficult to understand, I recommend taking your own headphones to have both ears with sound. The explanations weren't very detailed on the construction and architecture of the acropolis.

The Acropolis is a must see. We booked a tour at 8am which I highly recommend to avoid the crowds. When we came out later the queues to go in were very long. Margaret our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and very helpful.
