Very interesting exibition for better understanding the portuguese importance in explorations and developments of marinery. Excellent boat models from 1400 to 1800, and very interesting and complete collection of models of all the typical portuguese local boat
The exhibit was interesting, impressive and informative! There was virtually no line to get into the building. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only problem with the museum is the audio tour. The audio kept cutting off mid play and required constant replay and refreshing of the audio. However, this problem can be avoided if you perchase an in house audio guide rather then the free one offered.
I visited the museum in 1971 and loved it. I wanted my grandsons to see where our American history began, since I learned si much the first time. This time the top floor was closed off, and no Christopher Columbus or Amerigo Vespucci, etc. I was disappointed in that regard, but the current exhibition focusing on India and Africa was very interesting and we learned a lot. I have an even greater appreciation of Portugal's contributions in the development of international relationships .
The exhibits great. Sadly, purchased an adult ticket did not want with our 4 senior tickets. Website confusing.
It was unforgettable not to enter the museum because it was closed. They sold tickets for a day when it was closed.

Enjoyed the experience but the app and booking process was confusing meaning I was overcharged and when I emailed to say this you could not refund me my overcharge so I will not be using your company again.
