Our tour guide Celeste was adorable, entertaining and told us lots of interesting information and fun facts about the great food. An all-round successful evening, thank you for that. I have rarely indulged in gluttony with such pleasure, but the food was also simply delicious.

We very much enjoyed Anna's tour. She was very knowledgeable. And........... when I told her I did not like cheese you could immediately see her thinking about how to cope with that bomb shell. And then she made it into something to joke about when, in the cheese tasting part, two of the other members of our group didn't eat there cheese either! She rang ahead to each eatery and asked if they could accommodate me and they did which shows how much they value her. Thank you Anna

Itinerary
START POINT

Central Rome

History, flavor, and culture collide in the heart of the Eternal City. You might be kneading dough while gazing out at cobblestoned streets or raising a glass with the Colosseum just a stroll away. Being centrally located is ideal β€” since it's easily accessible by foot, metro, or taxi, or whether you're staying in Trastevere, Monti, or near the Spanish Steps.

Note: The cooking studio and how your class unfolds varies slightly based on the starting point you choose in central Rome.

1

Option 1: Via della Polveriera 9, near Colosseum

1 activities

Tickets included

The ultimate β€œRome by day, romance by night” combo, this experience not only helps you tick off the big sights β€” the Colosseum, Forum, Constantine's Arch β€” but also keeps your itinerary efficient and exciting with a nearby cooking class.

To reach this cooking studio, head to the terrace above the Colosseo metro station. Take the pedestrian bridge that passes over the street. The office is about 50 meters across; you can spot it by the purple flag.

Things to do

1. Introductions

Included in price

Say hello to your local chef and your fellow guests before you embark on your culinary adventure. Get briefed on what to expect during your cooking class.

2. Tiramisu

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Dip savoiardi (ladyfingers) into warm espresso, whisk golden egg yolks with sugar until creamy, then fold in rich mascarpone. Layer by layer, you build your tiramisu β€” soft biscuits, smooth cream, and a snowfall of cocoa.

3. Ravioli

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Roll out golden pasta dough until it’s paper-thin. Spoon dollops of creamy ricotta or savory spinach filling, fold, press, and seal each pocket with love. Boiled to tender perfection, then tossed in butter or sauce, your ravioli is handmade, heartfelt, and absolutely delicious.

4. Fettuccine

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Crack eggs into a flour well and knead until the dough is smooth and springy. Roll it thin, then slice into long golden ribbons. Once cooked al dente and tossed with a rich sauce, it’s pure pasta perfection β€” made by you, from scratch, with love.

5. Enjoy your sit down meal

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Glasses of deep red, crystal white or clear, golden bubbly...it's assured that your glass will never remain empty throughout the class. Fancy unlimited soft drinks instead? That's available too! And now for the best part: take off your apron, grab a plate, and dig into a wholesome meal wholly handcrafted by you.

2

Option 2: Via Cipro 4L at La Nicchia Cafe, near Vatican Museums

240 min

1 activities

Tickets included

Combining a visit to the Vatican with a traditional cooking class? It’s the perfect way to balance culture and cuisine while staying close to one of the world’s most visited landmarks. If you're staying in Prati or Trastevere, this location is the dream: your class is at La Nicchia Cafe in the Prati neighborhood near Vatican City.

Things to do

1. Introduction

Included in price

Say Buon Giorno (good day) to your guide and fellow cooking enthusiasts and set off on your culinary masterclass. Get an insight into how your masterclass will unfold.

2. Tiramisu

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Apron on, spoon in hand β€” you're elbow-deep in Italian indulgence. You dunk biscuits into espresso, whisk mascarpone and smear generous layers into your dish. A dust of cocoa and voilΓ  β€” your tiramisu masterpiece is ready to be chilled!

3. Ravioli

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Knead silky dough, stretch it smooth, and fill it with fresh ricotta, mushrooms, or herbs. Press and crimp each square with care, sealing in flavor like a secret.

4. Fettuccine

Food & Drinks

Included in price

A joyful mess of flour, eggs, and laughter, you mix the dough, roll it out with care, then slice perfect strands by hand. As it boils, aromas of garlic and herbs fill the room. Served with velvety sauces, your fresh pasta comes alive.

5. Enjoy your sit-down meal

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Buon appetito! Dig into your handmade meal. Sip and savor a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage, and top end your dining experience with a glass of refreshing limoncello or classic Italian coffee.

3

Option 3: Restaurant Gusto, Via Giuseppe Zanardelli 14, near Piazza Navona

240 min

1 activities

Tickets included

Piazza Navona is one of Rome’s most elegant and lively squares β€” full of artists, music, and charm. Taking a cooking class nearby means you're surrounded by stunning architecture and a buzz of Roman life. Before or after you make your fresh pasta or tiramisu, you're steps from ancient ruins and gelato-worthy strolls.

Your meeting point and cooking class venue are the same: inside Restaurant Gusto.

Things to do

1. Introduction

Included in price

Greet your guide at the meeting point, meet your group and exchange hellos before you kickstart your culinary adventure.

2. Tiramisu

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Dreamy meets creamy as you craft this Italian delight that tastes like a coffee-flavoured cloud. Layer espresso-coated ladyfingers with whipped mascarpone and finish off with a cocoa dusting.

3. Ravioli

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Roll out fresh pasta sheets and carefully spoon in fillings β€” ricotta, basil, maybe a hint of lemon zest. Folded, sealed, boiled and sauced, your ravioli bursts with flavor and fun.

4. Fettuccine

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Mix flour and eggs into a golden dough, kneading it smooth with flour-dusted hands. Roll it out thin, then slice into long, silky ribbons. The strands tangle beautifully, ready to meet a rich tomato sauce or buttery sage.

5. Enjoy your sit-down meal

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Your effort becomes a celebration of Roman tradition, of learning, and the simple joy of making something unforgettable. Along with your meal, have a glass of wine or soft drink. At the end of the experience, choose between limoncello or coffee.

The marketing for the event was a total scam. We had limited time in Rome and wasted it on this event. The food was terrible, the boat was old, and the river is unsightly. It was sold to me as a tour. Not one word was said about anything. The hostess was very nice. I give this a minus 0.

Overall a great experience and highly recommend. Our instructor, Alfons, was thorough and incredibly patiently with our group. We were offered water during class and topped off our meal with a shot of limoncello. The pasta and tiramisu we made was delicious.

2. Spritz cocktail

Drinks

Making a classic Italian Spritz is as fun as sipping it! Just add ice, 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol, a splash of soda, and stir. Garnish with an orange sliceβ€”and boom, you’re living la dolce vita in a glass!

3. Maltagliati with basil pesto

Food & Drinks

Included in price

Maltagliati means β€œbadly cut,” but don’t let the name fool you β€” this pasta is pure joy! You’ll roll out fresh dough and slice it into rustic, uneven shapes (no rulers allowed!). Then, toss the pasta with a vibrant basil pesto made from fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmigiano, and a splash of olive oil.

4. Fettucine in tomato sauce

Food & Drinks

Included in price

You’ll handmake fettuccine β€” smooth, golden ribbons of pasta perfection β€” then whip up a fiery Sugo al Pomodoro with sweet tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and fresh basil. It’s bold, it’s rustic, it’s the soul of Rome in a bowl.

5. Enjoy your sit-down meal

7. Tiramisu

And now, the grand finale β€” tiramisu. Creamy, dreamy, and dusted with cocoa, this iconic Italian dessert contains layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and velvety mascarpone, which melt together in every bite. It's the perfect ending to your Roman culinary adventure.

2

3. Make 3 cocktails

Drinks

4. Pasta in traditional sauces

We had a blast on this tour. Our guide, Clelia, was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly! We enjoyed meeting the amazing chef Gabriele who was both hilarious and extremely kind and welcoming. We learned so much about the history of the Ghetto, Roman cuisine, and much more. We also enjoyed meeting a great group of people who shared the tour with us. Overall, we highly recommend this tour and it was the highlight of our stay in Rome!

Nice presentation of the food. It said in the description that we should wear good footwear ... but the whole experience was the same place.
