Very fun and interesting walking tour through the heart of Rome. Our guide Elena took us from the Spanish Steps to the Trevi Fountain, the famous Pantheon and the Piazza Navona. She had a detailed knowledge of Rome and its history, was always attentive to the group and could explain a lot in an understandable and entertaining way. Very good experience, Joaquina (our guide in Spanish) a success!!!! We were able to make our dream come true and the tour was more than we expected, her kindness and patience to explain everything was the top of the tour. Highly recommended. What we liked the most was not having to wait in the long lines and the complications to enter St. Peter's Basilica, since being part of the tour allows you to access everything faster!

Our guide Marta was very knowledgeable and nice. She was a great storyteller and gave great background throughout the tour in each area. The tour was good and I would recommend them. We had a very nice time on this tour and it went to all the spots we wanted. The description is accurate on what you get with the tour. I only have one suggestion - and that is during times with extreme crowds, it is important to ensure that all of the group is accounted for. My husband and I (and another girl we didn't know) were separated during the tour in a critical area to short cut into the Sistine Chapel. The group was given 15 minutes there, but because we were lost and took the long way, buy the time we got there, we were rushed and didn't get the time the rest of the group had. Please make sure to keep the group together. I do understand it is very hard because of the crowds, so this situation alone would not keep me from taking this tour with this tour group again as everything else in the tour was great.

I recommend this tour and I wish you to find a guide like ours, Antonella.... explained opera by opera.... exciting us and telling us anecdotes . If you choose the skip the line it is better because it will allow you not to stand in endless lines Under the hot sun as in beautiful July! We visited the Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica. Inside the tour you will find a couple of fountains where you can refill your water bottles. Comfortable shoes and shoulders covered !!! And have fun !!!

Volodymyr was great. He provided lots of really interesting facts, and was keen to offer information and insights around the interests of members of our group. Our guide Maria Theresa was amazing! She was very knowledgeable in aspects of the tour. She went out of her way to make sure that the whole group of 17 was taken care of. She had her eyes on everyone throughout and wouldn't let anyone get left behind. With the crowds and other tour croups pushing through she did an exceptional job of communicating with us to keep us together. She gave everyone a potty break in the middle if we needed it. I would highly recommend this tour guide and the company as they all are professionals.

Booking the tour was seamless and efficient. From the moment the tour started to when it ended, we enjoyed every part of it. Our Guide (Kelly) was so helpful, fun and informative. She brought the whole group together really quickly making us all feel like a little multi country family. She went out of her way to make all participants of the group feel very much included. The detail that was shared and the pace we went through the tour was perfect. Kelly's explanation of everything made our visit to the Vatican that much more special.

We enjoyed the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. It was difficult to hear her at times, but there were a lot of people in these two places. I was very very disappointed with the St. Peter's Basilica. Our guide got us to the Basilica about 11:45, into the "skip the line" section and left. There were so many people on the steps trying to get in we were crowded in together. We made it to the top of the stairs and were told the Basilica was closed for two hours. They pulled the rope to keep us out at noon. We were so disappointed because our guide didn't tell us they would be closing at noon. Very frustrating. I would have given the experience a 3 star, but the first two visits were very good.

I had trouble buying tours in PORTUGUESE, so I bought them in Castilian. My children and wife didn't want to buy in another language. However, I managed to switch to PORTUGUESE on the spot. I suggest you have more options in PORTUGUESE. I was very well guided by the guide who enriched the tour with information. I climbed the dome, which is an incredible experience that offers incredible views from above. For those seeking an experience of faith, St. Peter's Basilica is sensational. I felt very fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit the Basilica. I recommend it! And a big congratulations to our guide Martinho, who was very friendly, polite and explained the tour in great detail.

The great tour guide. She told and explained things in a very interesting and understandable way. She was very personable and in a good mood - great! But the time management was a pity. When booking, it says that the tour through St. Peter's Basilica and dome ascent takes 1 - 2 hours. Unfortunately, we were only finished with the tour after 2 hours. As we had our return flight in the afternoon, we unfortunately had to skip the dome ascent. An honest indication of the time when booking would be desirable. The whole tour easily takes 3 hours.

I really liked being told about the history of the Coliseum from Emperor Nero to how it stands today. The skip the line part was also convenient given the line outside. Our guide was pretty cool and the tidbits that he told throughout helped to connect with the place. Access to Palatine hill which was granted by the ticket was one of my favorite places. Personally I wish the guide had shown some more enthusiasm and amidst all the noise, his speech felt a little too fast at times to understand everything.

No one was at the venue when we arrived, I rang numerous times, no reply. My niece amyirvine84@sky.com purchased the tickets as a surprise for us , one being her daughter. We waited then went round to the Pantheon , asking guides if they had our names . The children were very upset, my sister and I were furious. I then purchased tickets to enter ourselves. An extremely upsetting day for all of us . I would like my niece to be refunded . It was booked under the name of Brigid Irvine. my email, patirvine@ymail.com

The address for changing the voucher into Tickets where completely wrong. We searched and waisted time. The only way to get the correct address was asking at the entrance of the Pantheon. Now we Had to search for this address to get the Tickets. The result was we we're too late. So 0 Points for the Tour. The Pantheon was great and the audio Guide OK. But we booked a Tour, which we didn't get.

This walking tour of St. Peter’s Basilica was nothing short of spectacular. Climbing the dome offered breathtaking panoramic views of Rome—worth every step! The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, bringing centuries of history to life, especially in the papal tombs below. A perfect blend of art, architecture, and awe. And a big congratulations to our guide Martinho, who was very friendly, polite and explained the tour in great detail.

Everything went well on site: very friendly staff surprised us with a small snack at the start meeting point, after which we were led together as a group to the entrance to the dome of the cathedral, where we had to wait in a queue for a few minutes. But no problem. The only criticism: the headout app is very poor: our tickets were not displayed, could not be uploaded and the app kept sending advertisements to our cell phones. The help functions were inadequate. Really annoying.

Seeing the Colosseum for the first time was a wow moment. But getting inside was just amazing and with the full experience of being taken around by our knowledgeable tour guide from Inside Out Italy made it quite special. The highlight was of course seeing the whole of the Colosseum from the arena floor but we also got taken up and round different floors and seeing it from different angles. Then after the Colosseum you're taken across to the Roman Hill and Paletine. So all in all it was what I would call a thorough tour the only bit we didn't see up close was the underground part of the Colosseum but you get to see the central underground section from the arena floor anyway. Well worth doing.

Visiting the Colosseum, or "Coliseu" as it's known in Portuguese, is an absolutely breathtaking experience that transports you back to the heart of ancient Rome. Standing within those colossal ruins, you can almost hear the roar of the crowds and imagine the gladiatorial contests that once took place on the arena floor. The sheer scale of Roman engineering is awe-inspiring, and exploring the intricate levels, from the underground hypogeum where animals and gladiators awaited their fate, to the upper tiers offering panoramic views of the entire amphitheater, truly brings history to life. The company that organized this tour did an exceptional job, handling every detail to ensure a smooth and enriching visit and helping to find the correct place. A special mention must go to our tour guide, Simona, whose passion and knowledge truly brought the Colosseum to life. She expertly navigated us through its storied past, pointing out fascinating details and sharing captivating histories that made the ancient stones speak volumes. It's a powerful reminder of the grandeur and complexity of a civilization that shaped so much of the world.

Our guide, Diego, was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly, intelligent, funny and loves telling the history of his birthplace. This tour has a lot to cover in 3 hours so if you're not a fast walker/stair climber there might be better choices for you. The only downside was that we got instructions to meet in 1 location only to get there on time and be told we needed to go to a different address- for folks without internet this could be difficult. It wasn't far but was across streets, through construction, and down an alley- could have told us to meet there from the beginning.

Amazing Guide! Our Colosseum and Roman Forum tour was incredible thanks to our guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great stories — he made history come alive! Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Rome.

Join an exclusive tour of the Arena, the gladiators’ battlefield, limited to just a few visitors at a time.

  • Everything you get: Skip the crowds and enter through the Gladiator’s Gate, straight onto the fragile, partially reconstructed Arena floor—off-limits with standard tickets. With your expert guide, uncover stories of gladiator training, bloody clashes, political intrigue, and even ancient stadium lighting. Then continue to Palatine Hill’s imperial ruins and the Roman Forum’s grand temples, arches, and basilicas.
  • Why choose this: Standard Colosseum access doesn’t include the arena floor—a rare privilege due to its very limited capacity and preservation needs. See the amphitheater from a gladiator’s-eye view, learn its significance from your guide, and finish amid the Forum’s ruins.
  • Upgrade: Opt for a small-group tour (15 guests) for an intimate, interactive experience, or choose a regular group tour for a budget-friendly option.

What to bring

  • Valid passport or photo ID for all visitors, including minors.
  • The full name of each participant (including children) must match the ID provided at entry.

What’s not allowed

  • Luggage, large bags, pets, smoking, alcohol, drugs, weapons, sharp objects, glass items, sprays, or aerosols.
  • Electric wheelchairs, prams, and strollers.

Accessibility

  • The experience is not suitable for wheelchair users, prams, strollers, or those with mobility issues.
  • All visitors must pass through a mandatory security check with metal detectors.

Additional information

  • Colosseum tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled check-in time; late arrivals will not be refunded.
  • Meeting time may change—updates will be sent via call or message.
  • Rain or shine, tours operate. In case of heavy rain, some areas may be closed for safety.
  • In July and August, the tour duration may be shortened to 2 hours due to heat.
  • The order of attractions may vary to manage crowd levels.
  • As there is no timed entrance to the Palatine and Forum, it is impossible to skip entry lines. Please expect a delay when entering these sites.
  • You can cancel these tickets up to 7 days before the experience begins and get a full refund.

Our guide was Patri and I loved the way she was describing the places to us as she had a folder with pictures to show us the key characters, how the place would have looked like at the time so we could imagine it better. He gave us the opportunity to take pictures and the pauses were adequate during the tour. At all times he was attentive to have the whole group. Maurizio was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge about every piece of art was sensational. 100% would do this tour again! Very seamless pickup at meeting location and walking us into Vatican City, guiding us through security. Only feedback is not on tour guide but the headsets used. The system is a bit finicky. The headphones are a bit uncomfortable. I'd say the vox or similar wired headphone systems are superior.

The spaces visited are, of course, incredible. Given the impossibility of visiting all the halls and galleries of the museums (18 km), the choice of route is excellent and the guide was extraordinary in the detail and care she took in her explanations and care for the group.

Our visit was 2 fold. #1 it was for our son graduating high school. Instead of a party, he wanted to travel. #2 our son became a Catholic at Easter time so this visit was a no brainer. Vatican and see the pope. My wife and I have to the Vatican before and we and we were not happy with our tour, so we tried your company. Tour guide "Kate" was the bomb! She made the tour so much fun and she shared so much knowledge. She set the standard of what every tour should be like.

I paid extra to have a bus tour for the garden for my family of 5, knowing my youngest child would get tired from walking. I asked my tour guide where the bus is and she said I had to purchase that separately and that it's too late for it now to change . We walked over an hour outdoors in the garden, very difficult for my child. Everyone was tired later to view the inside museums and wanted to go home instead . Very disappointed

This was an ok tour. We only really booked this because last minute it was the only way I could find acccess to the Sisitne chappel. The skip the line into the Museum was valuable though, since it was so busy when we went. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Vatican is so vast that it was nice to have someone explain some things, however, I feel like a lot got skipped over. I would have prefered to do the museum on my own so that I could take my time looking around. This was really quite expensive for what it was.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided great context in her explanations and answers to our questions. We were able to breeze by the lines with our ticket, and she helped show us the important pieces of the Vatican (included the Sistine Chapel). It helped having a guide, as without one, we probably would not have known we had acccess to certain parts of the museum (that were roped off).
