Opening hours at the Catacombs of San Sebastian in 2026

No. 4:45pm is the last entrance time, while the site closes at 5:15pm. Because visits are guided, arriving after the final admission time does not guarantee entry. Plan to arrive before your scheduled tour.

No. Monday is the catacombs' regular weekly closing day. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:15am to 5:15pm. Check the official calendar before travelling, especially around major holidays and the annual December closure.

The catacombs close on December 25 and January 1 every year. In 2026, they also have an extended annual closure from December 7 through December 27, so check your travel dates carefully before booking.

Yes. Since visits take place exclusively with the catacombs' local guides, arriving on time is important. Visitors with reservations have priority, while those arriving without a reservation may not be accommodated at their preferred time.

Tours are organised according to reservations and visitor demand rather than running continuously throughout the entire opening period. We recommend making a reservation in advance and offers tours in Italian, English, French, Spanish, and German.

You can enquire about availability on arrival, but reservations are recommended because visits are guided and organised according to bookings and requests. Visitors with reservations have priority over those arriving without one.
